We set up the blind and shot a few rounds of arrows out to 30yds.

Man, this is nice not having to worry about scent control while bowhunting - unlike bowhunting for elk!

Thanks Scott, should be a fun experience...we have been shooting and practicing. It will just be nice to be out in the woods with good friends, and hopefully some birds. Should be a good weekend coming up from what I gather.

Team "Cold Turkey" decided to try another area than originally thought. So we made a phone call to a NE landowner tonight.

We got permission to hunt 1 mile of Repubican River bottom!
I'm thinking we should be able to find some long-beards with the place to ourselves.

Do your homework boys...the Turkey Mafia is setting up shop in Nebraska!
