Well I went out Sunday afternoon til about 8, had some gobbles in the distance around 4, then sat and watched grackles the rest of the day. Landowner said the turkeys were in the spot we were this morning, so may be out tomorrow night and thursday night.

I went out Saturday afternoon. Didn't see anything...only heard a couple. Went back out on Sunday morning. They were gobbling all over the place but they were henned up. I called in 2 jakes and had a hen that came and hung out with the decoys for about half and hour.

I should've went out this morning but didn't. If it's not really windy in the morning I may go out after I drop my kids off at school. I also plan to go out Fri-Sun.

Well, I didn't get to go on Friday. I had to work on Saturday morning. By the time I got out to our hunting area both of my brothers-in-law had a bird. One got a Jake and the other had a nice Tom with about a 9 inch beard and 1" spurs. We never weigh them so I don't know what either one weighed.

I had a chance at a BIG Gobbler. I was set up next to a small cedar. My two BIL's were walking toward me and spooked a Jake, a hen and a BIG Gobbler right to me. The big boy was running right at me and had no clue that I was there. I had him in my sights for quite a while as he ran toward me. The hen was right next to him. She took off and started to fly. I figured he was close enough and pulled the trigger just as he took off. Didn't touch a feather on him! He flew right past me a little more than head high. He was a HOG too.

Oh...I didn't go today either. Hopefully I'll be able to go on Wednesday morning.
