I'd love to get after them this year, but I still haven't gotten to purchasing any traps yet. I'll definately be after them next year though.

Well how many of you have made a release board for non target critters or ones you just want to release? Tom

I've been using one. Seems most of the cats I catch are in Nov. First one I ever caught I let go w/ a snare pole. I thought we were both gonna die. All was good though. Ever since then I've been using a board. Last thing I used a board on was a big ole porcupine I didn't feel like messing w/ that night.

I usually catch a few every year. It didn't seem like there were as many around this year as the past couple years though.

I hope you don't have to use it next year, hope all your catches are fur that you can put up... but should you need it the fact that you now know how to use it is a tribute to this site and the internet...like said before, wish we would have had this 30 years ago...Thanks for posting, it will be fun to watch you develop as an ethical trapper.
