Default Portable Fish Finder for Ice Fishing

Is ther any reason that a portable fish finder wouldn't work for ice fishing?

They will work, you just have to make a bracket to hold the transducer.

Thanks. I couldn't think of reason but it seems most use a flasher. Didn't want to spend the $ on a flasher.

One thing to be careful about is if it has a LCD display it might start to freeze up on you in real cold days. Some finders do have a heating elemant built into the unit and some don't might want to read up on the one you have to see if it has a heater or not before taking it out on those real cold days.
