    Default Todays adventure

Started out at one spot, caught one lil bass, and decided to make the long hike elsewhere to get out of the wind.
got two more bass about this size,...

Moved again and found some cats that wanted to bite,...got three of them, this one being the best...

Now for the adventure part,...I lost three jigs and two nice fish along with one "real nice" fish. I had this one on for about five minutes and let him have the drag maybe four times. Every time I thought he was done, he'd make another run. The last time I thought he was finished, and could barely see him about three feet down. It was either a real nice catfish, or a "really nice" bass. It felt like a good 6-8 pounds.

castlefisherman and his crew were across the lake fishing and probably heard me cussing.

Did you guys ever find those crappie?

I just got back from LAke of the Woods. I caught 21inch, 22.5 inch, 24 inch, and 27 inch walleyes along with a number of smaller walleyes. Also caught several 14 inch perch.
    See photo of biggest walleye.

Nice fish Whisker....you had much better luck than me and my crew. We saw a lot of crappies on the camera in the deeper water, but only found 2 attached to our jigs.

We forgot to ask you what you and Eric have been catching all the bass on. Anything other than a minnow?

Do I dare ask...the northwest creek or the southwest creek?

You sure it wasn't just that YOU were too TIRED, of your weekly beatdowns? I was busy getting a new depthfinder yesterday anyhow, the $150 gas ice auger and $50 foldover shack i'd found had already sold before I called though.

Once you try a stainless steel bladed ice spud you won't go back to hand augering So long as you hold on to the spud anyway
