here's a new buck. looks like he may be on his way back down. big 6x6 frame (gotta look at it zoomed, but he is a typical 12), just most of the points are like 2 to 3 inches, lol. Hope he can continue to grow some over the next month cuz he could be a good deer.

Sorry guys...I was just messing with you on those bear pics. A good friend of mine sent me those from his farm in NW Arkansas. That even surprised me that he had bear on his farm. He also has a small herd of free ranging Elk. AR transplanted them in several years ago. This is very NW corner of AR right on the MO line.

    Nope, and you haven't either. . . . . I have him at 147.5 with 157 on the VERY aggressive side. . . . and that's a gross score.

Your nuts, we have his sheds from last year and they gross 167 with a 20 inch inside spread.

    try again...

    last year he was

    spread 20 inches
    beams both right under 26 = 52
    mass = 34 inches
    g 1's 5 inches = 10
    g2's 13 inches= 26
    g3's 11 inches 22
    one sticker 3 inches.

I'd love to hear your "aggressive" 147 measurements since he's WAY bigger this year

Mark my words if this deer gets shot this year he will be WAY up there in 4x4's ever shot.

It takes a lot of horn to score 180 " especially as an 8 pointer. If this is a Nebraska deer it would put him in the top ten typical category. Nonetheless, one hell have a deer! Hope you or your buddy get a crack at him this year! Good luck
When in doubt, Bark one out !

Gonna have to go closer to what Flats is saying score wise. That is a PIG of an 8 pt.

Trust me, I understand. I know it actually sounds RETARDED to say 180 and 4x4 in the same sentence....I know. But, I gotta call it how I see it. We (him) have probably 200+ pics of this deer, three encounters within 15 yards last year when he was just a "pup" of a 160 class, and Ive laid eyes on him from about 200 yards last November. Trust me when u see this deer, you do about everything you can to just not crap your pants....and this was last year.

What's your email address? I have the measurements saved in a spreadsheet at work and I'll email them to you. I'm pretty comfortable with my numbers, but not to say I'm not way off on these measurements. When my Dad shot his big buck in 2008, he green-scored 184.5". I had him at 181" off of trail camera pictures from August. This past year, I scored a deer at 115 off of a 10-27-09 picture and when I shot him the opening weekend, he green-scored 116.

Im really not that worried about it. I know he was 167 last year from sheds, and hes done nothing but grow. Hope my buddy kills him and see what he grew into.
As far as estimating score, the last four deer Ive killed that Ive had on camera ive been no more than 2 inches off. So Im pretty comfortable in my estimates as well. Hopefully in a few months we'll see him on the ground.

So just out of curiousity, if you think this 8 is only mid 140s, what do you think the 8 is on the left of this picture? And how much different do you think they are? Not trying to pick a fight, just trying to give some exact reference to compare (I'll tell u this, his longest tines are only about 7 inches, yet theres a p&y certificate next to it)
