    Default Lakes

Sure seems like the lakes are slowing down. So, do the carp head for deeper water after they spawn? Seems like we see them about 50 to 75 yards out from the bank now, but just jump up, then back in the water.. Not much of a chance to shoot em...

Calm days you will usually find buffs cruising the middle of lakes on the surface. Shooting the lakes this time of year can be tough but when the conditions are good things can get crazy.

Mornings and evenings. Exactly. Get yourself out 200-300 yards from shore and let the breeze or wind take you back to the banks. You should get some hurried shooting along the way. Try it - it works during the summer and even into late fall.

Well, i'll have to try that. Just got home from Centralia lake in ks. & shot 1 fish in 3 hours. Buddy took 2 shots @ differant fish & come up empty handed. Makes for a long nite shooting once per hour. lol...
