I think its like June 27th.
Sounds like this event gets bigger and bigger every year. Geared more towards rod-n-reel but I know bowfishers also showup.
I think it would be madness if BON didnt represent at this event.

I wouldn't mind crashing the rod & real party. We bowfish out there all the time anyways. Commons were starting to kick reed's last week. There definitely isn't a lack of fish thats for sure.

We talked to a couple of NGPC guys at the NBA banquet about this event. I think we will have a couple of boats there and some info about our club!! They really wanted us there, and we would get some more good exposure![]()

BON Vice President
Mike Streeter is a BON member and one of the main people who puts this on. I am sending him a message to let us know what he needs from us.
I might have to be out of town this weekend but if not will definitely be there. If I cannot make it I know my buddy would love to go out. He is going to join the BON just isn't really internet savy.

I did talk to Larry today. Basically we talked about having a couple of boats sitting on the trailers as a display and the NGPC is going to try to line up some bows rigged for bowfishing so that people can see what types of setups there are and possibly even shoot at targets. I volunteered to help to man the bow area if he gets it set up and could possibly use the help of a couple other BON members to help answer questions in this area.
General time-frame is from 8 to 1pm on Saturday the 27th.
Thanks - Corey
I am willing to volunteer and I can have a boat there as well. It can be the red-neck way of putting a platform on a boat.

Sounds good Corey. I can make it. Can you shoot this thing or is it just for rod and reel? Either way Ill make it up.

it's not a tourney is like a carp killing get together. I think it's more of an opportunity for the NGPC to pimp the killing of common carp, and teach different ways of doing it. I think they biat an area of the lake and let people have at it catching as many as possible.
BON Vice President
even better. I guess I was more asking if we can shoot or if its more of a thing for the kids catching them.

Better yet to shoot them when they are on a guys hook thats in a wheel chair.
It is a training / promote fishing event with sponsors and booths and almost a sports show atmosphere. It is also a public lake open to fishing year round. If I am helping kids shoot bows at targets prob won't have time to shoot, but I might head out there early with the genny.......
We are all set to help with the NGPC carp event at Pawnee this weekend. Myself, Sorny and Brian K have said they would be able to help out.
Is anybody else planning to be there?
We have enough boats for the space we are going to be provided, but if you want to bring your boat and shoot some fish you are more than welcome.
