    Default BON Incentive Idea's

I belong to the SVHRC and we have around 20 or so members and I know that we get a club discount at Scheels. I think 10 or 15 % on anything Dog training or Dog related. This is something I could talk to Scheels about doing for BON as another incentive to get new members. I think cabala's out of Omaha does something similar so if there is someone in omaha willing to talk with them there is another incentive. The discount is usually club based so we would get a discount on anything bowfishing related. If its something that would interest the club I will stop in this weekend and talk with a couple guys down there. I just need an updated list of all the members in the club.

Its nice because even if you have potential members on the fence, they can more than pay for their membership in what you would save (at least I can) God I have to many hobbies! Not to mention Scheels will usually donate stuff for our raffle at our Hunt Tests something we could also discuss with them to see if we cant get some arrows, tips, safety slides, anything is better than nothing.

Another way to get the word out about the BON is to hold a raffle (you can make a decent amount of money on it if you can sell tickets) Sell tickets for 3 - 4 months before the Tournament and up until the day of the raffle drawing and give away say a bow, set of arrows, a retriever. 1st 2nd & 3rd kindof thing. Just an idea of some things we have done in the past at our club to increase membership.

Last fun shoots, I saw you guys had a trip planned to Milford lake (weather sux) But stuff like that is what keeps clubs going. The social aspect is what drives people.

    Later,
    Joe

We have another scheduled for Labor day out at Harlan. Hopefully the weather will work out this time and we can get some members to come out for a good time!!

I think Joe is on to something here. I agree with the fun shoots as well as the discount deal at Scheels or Cabelas if they will do it. Can't hurt to ask.

I sent a message to Eric Schack who is in the Archery Dept at Scheels in Lincoln and is a BON member. I will let you know what he said when he gets back to me.

I'll also check Omaha. See what we can do about donation of prizes to the Huntingne.com tourney in St. James as well.
