    Default Todays Catch

We fished Maskenthine today. I started out with two tip ups getting bit off,…then I missed two hook sets!
(I'd say missing a fish that is peeling line on a tip up is much more painful than missing a rod & reel fish!)

Finally got in gear and caught the next two.

Eric got this one on rod & reel

We were SUPPOSED to fish in a tournament today,...but our team sissed out on us!
There were about fifty people that showed up, and from the way it looked,....we would have won first place easily.

Bill & Craig,…you guys should have made the trip!!!

Nice work! Was thinking about getting out there for some pike action.

Whats the word on the ice? That pit by Norfolk I bowfish had awesome ice on it Friday but by Saturday evening it was about half of what it was with 4" or more of water on top in places. Not safe for me IMO. Of course......... im a pussy on ice.
im gonna lay my pity on the runny kine

I don't know what this little heat wave and the rain will do to our ice. We had 14" yesterday. It is going to get cold again in a few days too. It's probably pretty sloppy, but I'm going to hit it again as soon as the wind settles down some. I would think that pit would be fine. Most of the puddling is probably just bank run off.

We've lost major ice in the last two nights...I hit it for a couple hours again monday morning, it was raining and windy when I left(soaked wet, at about 9:30) and the ice had already suffered some major loss. I won't be going on it right now, in fact might call it a year on the icefishing unless it gets pretty cold again. If the ice is strong enough, you'd probably need waders to get through the shoreline mess now...

The pike were not in the same spot they were the day before, but I did finally get a couple flags out deeper, and another pile of crappies and 'gills...

    Finally got one

Figured out the timer on the new camera This was about 8:30 am monday morning, notice that all snow and auger cones in the background are already melted and gone at that time...

I just knew you went back out there in the rain yesterday.

Glad you finally scored on the tip ups. We'll have ice again in a few days the way the extended forecast looks. I might hit it again this weekend.

    But then again,....
I've been easing a little closer to the boat every time I go outside lately.....
