    Default KNOT TYING!

This web site has some animated knot tying help. Lots of knots for fishing, boating, or just everyday use.

For fishing I prefer to use the Palomar knot. It's fast ,easy to tie (even in the dark),.and is a very strong knot. Second on my list would be the improved clinch knot,...another quick, strong knot for tying on lures.

I like the palomar a lot, too. Like you said, it's quick, it's easy, and it's strong. I also tie the dropper loop a lot for my tip-up rigs and for double jig rigs for ice-fishing. I use the snell knot for all my tip-up rigs, also. And then, line-to line, I use either the albright or the double -uni. I used to tie the blood knot, because it was all I ever knew...but the Albright and double Uni are so much easier!

There is room here for all of God's creatures, right next to the mashed potatoes and under the gravy.
