Default Wehrspan Bass 7.13.08

Out this morning from 6-915, caught this pig on Xrap Minnow trolling. Also caught a 3 lb catfish on it. We were also using bottom bouncers with leeches and caught some crappie, had some good bites on some leeches with no catch, looked like it could be walleye based on the teeth marks left in the leech, but didn't bring any in Put a trailer hook on and caught a sunfish, but don't think that was what was hitting on before based on the rod bend. We trolled where the old rock road was doing zig zag pattern so we could get over the road and into the ditches on both sides of the road. Saw lots of fish especially when we were turning around at the fishing pier about 50 yards out. Most of the fish were at water depth 10-14.5 ft holding about 5-12 feet deep, my screen was covered with fish a couple of times - I'm going to grab the camera next time and take a shot of that when it happens again. Beautiful day on the lake Water temp about 74.9 today. All fish were returned to the water for another day. Why you reading this when you could be out on the water? Good luck fishing

Sounds like hyou had a nice day on the lake. I'll have to try that one out here soon. Can you fish it much from shore or is it a boat lake. Good luck and Good fishin.

Hi Jasper - I see people fishing from shore, but the grass/moss is growing about 1.5 -2 ft from shore so you need to get something to get out there, but they are doing it. There is a rock dam on the North side that you could easily fish from shore and some points that come out throughout the lake that could also make that possible, especially the point just south of the boat ramp and I've seen fish on the screen there too. The best bet would be boat throwing in toward the shore of course. Maybe we'll see you out there sometime! Welcome to Nebraska!
