pike jigging

anyone have any techniques geared toward jigging for northerns? i know that most ice fishermen will use tip-ups for pike, but just curious if anyone has had any experience with jigging for them.

i catch more on teardrops and waxies while fishing for panfish, than if i target them specifically.

that is kind of what i figured as well. just wonderin if anyone has had any luck with larger jigging spoons tipped with minnows?

When I was little we used dead shiners at desoto and my uncle's buddy caught a 12lber. I would say use a Kastmaster or Swedish Pimple with a large minnow.

Years ago when we ice fished the Refuge lakes for bass we jigged with a Swedish Pimple and a Super Duper on a fixed line rod. We always had numerous pike bite offs.
