January Fishing Contest

Time for our January fishing contest!
This months contest will be open to all species. The final winner will chosen by comparing your fish to the Nebraska Master Angler size requirements for that fish species.

Entry requirements – The logo image must be printed and featured in the photo of the fish you are entering into the contest. Your photo must also include your fish next to your measuring device. The fish must be caught in the state of Nebraska. All Nebraska fishing regulations apply for this contest. Failure to meet these requirements will result in an automatic disqualification.

Prize – Up for grabs is another "Hot Stix" rod and reel combo. This is a 24” ultra light rod with a handle warmer pocket located inside the handle. 2 hot packets will come with the combo.


Print this card and have it in the picture with your fish next to your tape measure.

How its gonna work- This month every game species of fish can win. We will be rating your catch based on its size compared to the Master Angler Requirement for that particular fish. For example, a 10 inch bluegill is 100% of the Master Angler Requirement for that species. Therefore, a 10 inch bluegill would win the contest over a 12 inch crappie, even though the crappie is larger. Why? Because the crappie is only 80% of the Master Angler Requirement for its species. We will place all bluegill, crappie, bass, walleye, etc. in their respective category and calculate the longest fish from each category. The best fish in relation to it's Master Angler requirement will win. Remember, all you have to do is enter your fish with the measurement. We will do the rest. Good Luck!

Largemouth- 21 inches 105% MA requirment
Crappie -16 inches 106.7% MA requirement
Bluegill- 11 inches 110% MA requirement
Walleye- 25 inches 89.3% MA requirement

maybe some contest in the coming months will be open to all states..dunnon though...you might have to run that by whisker or buck..as for now, lets see some of those fish out there. with this good ice, someone's got to be catchin!
