With no luck chasing up any white bass yet on our lake, I decided to try for some cats. I hadn't bothered to catch any blugill or get minnows, but I had some crawlers in the beer fridge so I grabbed those. Dad-burn it, they were frozen. I tossed them in the lake for chum & grabbed an old carton of chicken livers that my wife hadn't fried & was going to throw out. Dumped the blood in first & Wham!! I caught 2 nice ones that would run around 20" to 22" but I handled them badly when I went to grab em & lost them both. Caught several smaller ones around 15" or smaller & tossed them back. All together I ended up with 12 smaller ones I caught & released & kept two more bigger kittys of the night. One 22" & one 26". I'd still be fishing if I hadn't run out of bait. Caught the 26" on the last piece.
