Default Lake of the Woods

Just got back from a great trip up north. Lots of fish and fish stories. Weatherwas great 75-80 and partly cloudy most every day. My youngest had a monster Muskie hit a smallie he had on the line right at the boat and scared the heck out of him, we all died laughing while he cleaned his shorts. Spent 3 of the days chasing Muskies and had lots of follows but none in the boat. Can't really figure out what we were doing wrong. Did manage a few big Northerns and some real nice Smallies as well as the usually pile of Walleyes

Hello Goose, this sound's like a great trip. Did you stay at a resort? If so can you post or pm me the name and contact info, please? Thanks Kevin.

Sounds like a great family trip!

I'd love to fish that lake someday.

White Pine Lodge, Lake of the Woods, a Ontario canada fishing lodge offering muskie and walleye fishing, whitetail deer and bear hunting vacation packages.
this is the resort we stayed at. Family atmosphere, nice 17' lund/misty river boats with 50hp 4 strokes. pair of 18 tyee for guide trips. we usually book one guided day during our stay. Bob the guide gets you right on the eyes and takes care of the wife and kids so I can fish instead of freeing snags and tying lures. I would recomend this resort to everyone. It is in Snake Bay by Sioux Narrows. We stayed 2 weeks this year and I could have stayed longer. If anyone calls up there tell them the Starman's sent you and Jodie will give you a good deal. She usually will beat the advertized prices or throw in a guide day or something.
