I think I have a game plan even if the wind blows pretty hard out of the south. Now just as long as there are fish there when we scout....

Wind Gusts: 28 mph

I hate wind! Keith is seriously talking about just staying home. Im really thinking we should just take my boat as I can take some hella waves in mine. Flatbottoms just dont cut it with waves thats for sure.

I guess if we dont go Ill head up and shoot grassies again on the river and perhaps a paddlefish if he comes around.

I just looked and the forecasted wind didnt get changed for the better. Supposed to be fairly strong winds both friday and saturday.

Ill look again this afternoon. If it dont change for the better I cant make myself go. Wind around home looks pretty decent tomorrow so I might just take Mini to the river.

Weather channel is just saying south at 15mph. Accuweather is saying Southwest at 17 with gusts to 29, which sounds about right for that lake.

I looked at weather.com and weatherunderground and they both say 101 and winds 15. If they stay at 15 that wouldn't be too bad. The best shoot I ever had a calamus was in the wind. Just find a good bay and stay out of it. The ride back to the ramp is a little wet though

on another note my secret weapon is loaded and ready to fire. You boys better look out now!!!

Lets get a show of hands who is going. Want to know how many people will be here off these forums.

Also Keith and I are thinking about skipping the calcutta. I woke up at 10 am today and wont sleep next until Fri night. So sleep will be a big priority of ours. ha Can we register ahead of time without showing up Fri night?

All I know is after a day in that heat and wind a night of cold brews is going to feel great!

Talked it over with Mini-me and left it up to him...

Sounds like we are gonna miss out on this one due to the wind, to make up for it we are gonna go to the river tomorrow. With any luck Bigheads will be behind every wing dike like the last time we were out.

Accuweather says south wind at 17...........Still planning on going. The Tournament is 2 days away yet, hopefully it will calm down. Last August they were calling for 25-30 mph winds and it only blew 10-15 mph if that. Hopefully they'll be wrong again!
