Basicly the Calcutta is bidding on yourself or another team to win or place. The Calamus Lake association always places the first bid, so the minimum you can get your team for is $35, some teams will go over $100. I honestly dont know how the payouts work, if you ask me its just another way for the lake association to make $$...which wouldnt be a bad deal if we knew exactly what the funds were going towards and were going to a good cause.

The side pot is something Force Feed started this year. He basicly gave the shout out before take-off to all the archery teams, $10 a team, winner take all. Im sure it turned afew heads within the lake association.

That's basicly all you need Wild bill.

Crap! Sounds like we'll be shooting for second place again! HAHA!

4000 lbs of fish? Either you dont shoot that many or you shoot dinks! From what I was told there are plenty of nice big heads to be had up there!

I'll admit I dont get out much (if at all beside tourneys)with kids and working 7 days a week. All I'm saying is if I got out as much as you. Well.....I just thought the numbers would be higher!

Keith S. and I will be getting in our first tourney ever. Where you guys staying at? Do we need to preregister somehow?

Im totally down with the sidepot. Im not driving out there and if we get lucky and place winning less than what we paid to get in it. Thats total BS and a half. Should I just give the sidepot money to Whisker or H8TR now?

Just send it to FF, he will be the man to beat if he shows.

There are a number of hotels to stay at, or you can tent it also. I must be getting soft in my old age as I would rather stay in a hotel.

He is going to have to work to win this one. We don't plan on getting second again to Rich! haha. Last 2 tourneys he has managed to barely beat us. If we shoot 230 lbs again like last August might be sitting pretty good. It was plenty enough to win last year in August. I think on tournament day last year there was 14 teams that showed up. They payed out 6 places I thought, and 1st place was like 35 bucks.

[quote=goose h8r;52529]GETTING SOFT?? You have long since been soft.

Come on now! If I remember right WE use to hunt with no heaters in the blind while standing in shin deep water. I still hunt like that (except for the water)! What about you? You can use broke as an excuse if you want...and maybe you are broke. However your soft also so just admit it!
