| I shot this acouple years ago. You sign up at the store before the shoot date. The morning of the shoot you just start bowfishing at 8:00, there is no meeting place the morning before the shoot. Be back at Dakota Archery for the weigh-in. When we went it was a species shoot. Biggest Common, Buff, Gar, Bighead, and Grassie...each species paid a whooping $5 or something like that. Only us and and another team bothered to weigh-in.Your better off just going up to shoot whenever you want for fun. Unless more teams are participating now.

| I think about it each year....... Maybe DA needs to bring Carp-o-Rama into the orginizing of this event, and make it a real event. Lots of carp to kill up north. A carp-o-rama type shoot would benefit the heck out of lake yankton! I don't think any of the powers in control of that lake know just how many commons they have in there. When I mentioned it to them,...they replied "oh-yea,...wow."

| The driving force that decides a shoots attendance is the payout and bragging rights. The Carp-o-rama has a incredible turnout because it is close for alot of teams, is run perfect, and has a healthy payout to attract shooters from all over. I for one would be all for coming up there to shoot. The only reason I usualy dont go to the Dakota Archery shoot is because the winning payout wont even cover the trip...not like I would actually win or nothing. ![]() There is PLENTY of water up there for guys to spread out and not get in each others way and ALOT of fish to boot. Not to mention the areas downriver are peaceful, you can shoot without worry of ski boats everywhere throwing monster wakes. I LOVE that stretch of river, just wish I lived about 2 hours closer.

| I'd like to at least take a serious look at having a Huntingne shoot this year. Something not only our members can partake in, but advertise it for everyone. So any suggestions, thoughts or ideas are more than welcome. Like h8r mentioned, I think we could put together a fairly enjoyable shoot up this way. What do you all think?

| I'm in, the biggest problem would be fish disposal. If it's a good weekend with all the dead eyes we have around here there could be a big pile of dead fish to deal with. But it sounds like a good idea, I love it up there, it's too bad I am so far away. |

| I'm working on the fish disposal end of it. The organization and running it I'm unsure of. Should have a meeting spot lined up here too.
