Who's going to the Calamus tournament first weekend of June. The payout sucks but its still fun. I'm planning on it but, it depends on the weather. I'm not going if there's 3' white cap's again.

I am planning on it. Last year was my first time. Had fun, weather was pretty crummy. Hoping for better this year. I am not going to make the mistake of buying myself for the calcutta this year

I will be there as long as the weather is ok. If the weather is bad I'll go elsewhere. I would love to see a bigger payout at this but its run very good and is a ton of fun.

I think I'll just bid on the field...lol come on know you gotta buy your own team don't ya...I hope its a nice weekend I have never shot so much then 2 years ago when we did the tourney. Non stop all day it was a blast.

I'm not sure how much was shot in August. It was so hot and being on the water all day didnt make it any better. I know we were beat so we weighed in and left. I wish I would have got pics with my wife it was her first time shooting fish.

I am reviving this post to get a little chatter going. It is getting close to Calamus time again and wanted to see some discussion. Sorny asked about the August shoot last year. We took second with 131 pounds and got whipped pretty darn good. Leaders were 193 i think. 3rd was something in the neighborhood of 80 pounds if I remember right. We had more fish than the leaders, but our fish averaged 1.5 pounds and thiers averaged 6 pounds. We can say we shot more and harder to hit fish, but by weight, no contest. Fursniper and I are undecided on the Calamus tourney this year. With the Huntingne.com tourney on the next weekend, we might just wait another week.

| Yeah I think Im gonna hold out on Calamus. Its a fun shoot but I think the HuntingNe tourney is gonna flat out ROCK its first year.

Well right now it's looking like good weather hopefully the forecast stays and it will be a good shoot. Got the boat all fixed after the water pump went out the, bilge went out, the front eye broke. blew 2 tires on the way home from MO and replaced the seat and both rear lights. All I need is a paint job and it'll be a new boat...lol
