Default Shine up my Mercury motor?

My Merc has been in service for two years and has been used extensively. Over that time water stains and oxidation have gradually dulled the finish of the black motor. I would like to shine it up so it looks nice again. Is there a "best" product to do this with? How about just giving it a good wax with a turtle wax type product? Any input appreciated.

Thanks - Corey

vinager will take the water stains off, then a good cleaning wax should shine it right up.
