Good Luck with the hunt.

I only shoot them the way I was taught,....but that must work too,....my meat's in the freezer. If I draw next year, I'll stay on the tail waters again. I know I can fill my tags there, and I know there are 60-70 pounders (and bigger) there too. I see em all the time.

Those big ones are the only ones I "hope and pray" for,... the smaller ones are there for the taking.

Looks like we are heading up to Spooner land in the morning.

Whats the water depth up by the dam? Just curious if my anchor rope is long enough in case I absolutely cant find a single spooner on Sat I am thinking of going to the dam for Sun morn...its gonna hafta be awfully bad downriver for me to head up there.

I spose I just gave you the funds to do that! HA!

Its a good thing I didnt draw for a tag. We're very busy at work, theres no way I would have been able to make it out this season.

I am done chasing paddles - FOREVER.

It just isn't worth driving all the way up there to chase one fish when the only way to do it correctly is to go during the week because somebody in a BLUE PONTOON from ORD isn't blowing through every hole TRYING to run people over and the D*****AD in the blue and tan crestliner who ran his motor INTO the front of my boat and then his fat little buddy in the back of the boat caught BOTH of his vintage 1960's walleye rigs in my anchor rope as well, then had the nerve to say "What? - We didn't do anything that bad to him, if he is pissed at us - F*** Him."

Done. Period. I never thought I would look forward to bowfishing between the wakeboarders downstream.

That pontoon...WOW!! I have heard about him before but never thought it would be that bad. When we first saw him we watched him doing laps around some guys that were trolling a hole. We headed upriver after that and he came right in the hole us and another boat were trolling, doing laps around the other boat, space was tight in that hole too. He did it not once but twice. Thats when I had it and headed towards the dam thinking it couldnt be near as bad.

Then theres the guy that looks at me and smiles as he is dropping anchor less than 10 yards in front of us on top of some of the only fish that we saw rolling on a pretty regular basis.

Im still gonna go after them, Im just never doing it on a weekend again...EVER.

Helena or farther south? Curious if it was someone with a cabin down there. And was the pontooners bowfishing? We seen someone bowfishing from a pontoon not this past weekend but weekend before. Never bothered or came near us though. He was just floating the banks.

We saw him down and upriver from St. Helena. Pretty sure I heard he has a cabin at Wynot and drives up from there.

Ahhhh, the pontoon from Ord.....And the people that have absolutely no respect for others....I have seen it all and heard about even more......It was nothing more than a Zoo the last two times I was up there. And Yellab thankfully I wasn't in your boat last weekend or I wouldn't have been able to play well with others...

The pontoon is from ord and is controlled by a woman (dike) who works road construction or something to that effect. Some friends of mine in Ord know her way to well and they have nothing but bad things to say about her and how she treats people around town. They don't have a cabin anywhere near the river because they stayed in a tent next to the big cottonwood by the shelter at St. Helena ramp this weekend.

They will be at Calamus this weekend - gauranteed. They have been there everytime I have been there. So, look for the blue pontoon with the dike bee-otch driving it and giver her the finger for me just for old times sake because it doesn't sound like I am going to be there unless I find a partner, then maybe - HEY, I SHOULD CALL AND SEE IF THERE IS ROOM ON THE PONTOON!!!!
