Last Night's Chat

Chat went really well last night. We have some great ideas and after the huntingne tournament we are going to meet and get this ball rolling. We'll be posting some of the ideas that were discussed shortly so anyone who wasn't able to attend will see a little bit of what was discussed.

Feel free to throw out your own ideas here or ask questions as well. Hopefully we can get quite a few attending the meeting after the huntingne tourney.

Here are some ideas we went through. First things first though I think we'll probably discuss the "guts" of the organization to begin with. (mission statement, officers, things like that) *All to be discussed at the Green*

Bowfishing association of Nebraska or "BAN"

Really cant do Nebraska Bowfishing Association cause that would just be to damn close to the Nebraska bowhunters Association.

My vote is for Bowfishing Association of Nebraska.

Sounds like we all like the BAN name. Can bring that name to the huntingne tourney and unless there are a lot of objects I say it fits good.

The website will be www.bowfishnebraska.org if everything works out like it should. Hopefully in a few days we'll be ready to go with that as well.

I like BAN as well, my only concern is that when you associate BAN with Bowfishing, my mind automatically goes to PETA. I just don't want to put ourselves in a hole right out of the gate and be associated by other bowfishing groups as against bowfishing. If you know us, you know what we are all about, but if you dont, you might get the wrong idea. Many of the bowfishing associations go by the Initials more than the actual name and if I saw one that was called BAN, I might not think twice. NBFA might be the better choice. You already have NWTF, and those intials do fine, so a 4 letter name isnt really a problem.

That's a good point, I thought the same thing initially that it sounded more like we were against bowfishing.
