vCash: 500 | A drop is a buck that has already dropped its antlers for the year, basically looks like a big doe if you dont look between the legs. Could be a monster, could be a spike. |

vCash: 500 | One issue they could fix easily is not allowing the take of 2 bucks. Very few states allow this....let's go back to one and see how buck quality improves. Taxidermy bill would get cut in half too. ![]()

vCash: 500 | The two buck thing is a big draw for some out of state outfitters. It's hard enough to manage a herd without someone drilling two of them. Another thing I haven't seen discussed is the poor Mule Deer. The few we have around here get shot every year as juveniles. It would be cool to see a closure on all male Mule Deer for like 5 years. |

Now we are talking. That really is a huge problem. I am very glad they put a stop to the muley doe harvest in certain units. It has only increased their numbers slightly but it has kept the remaining herds at near steady levels. I remember as a kid growing up we saw about a 60/40split between whitey and the muleys. 60% being whitetails and 40% muleys but now it is 95% whitey and 5% muley.

vCash: 501 | I would be all for just one buck tag permit but they should make it a season of choice for Nebraska Res, or make it so you can choose 2 of the three season weapons to harvest it with. I would even be willing to pay for a achery tag and then if unfilled pay half the permit price again to harvest with ml. I just think there are ways that the ngpc can improve our deer management, while keeping revenue up. As for Mule deer there is no shortage of them where I'm at, but I'm still glad they are not letting does be harvested. But same as everywhere you always see mostly little 2x2 or 3x3 mulies getting checked in.

vCash: 500 | ![]() I'd like to be able to hunt with Bow, Rifle and MZ. I'd like to be able to take a nice buck with any of them. I won't shoot a little buck (I've eaten my rifle tag for the past two years holding out for a nice buck). If the tag was a "Season Choice" and I didn't see a nice one with my bow, then I'd try again with my rifle. Still no luck? Well, maybe I'll get him with my MZ. The way it is now, a guy who wants to hunt with all three methods has to pick which one he DOESN'T want to shoot a buck with and go hunting with his "season choice" doe tag. I'd like to know that I have the ability to take a nice buck if I see one. Once I have one for the season I'll be happy to not shoot another buck. It would increase your chances at getting a nice buck and maybe some guys who would've shot a small buck might let him pass so they could wait for a bigger one? They could offer Doe tags too so you could still take a doe with whatever method you wanted. I'd buy doe tags too so I could make sure I had some meat. (I liked the carry-over tag idea too.) |
