I have a minn kota power drive v2. It s a foot control with the option of adding a co-pilot, which is a (cordless) remote contol from anywhere in your boat. Plus you can have up to 10 different remots for your co-pilot so if your busy landing your fish, your buddy can run the boat off of his remote.

We hook ours on our belt loop. The only problem I've experinced is when I give my partner their remote and they bend over to land a fish or whatever they sometimes accidently push a button.

It comes with 1 remote but you can buy extras for $50 for your friends.
