Default Severe Weather and Tornadoes...

Seems like every year around memorial time is a bullseye for severe weather, this year doesn't appear to be much different. Much of SW and extreme SC NE are under the gun for severe weather beginning Thursday and lasting into the weekend, maybe slowly working slightly East each day. Areas nearest the NE/KS boarder should keep a watch to the sky as conditions look to possibly be coming together to support a strong long track tornado or two, looks like the greatest threat for Thursday may be just South of the boarder but that can change and even on Friday strong instability combined with strong upperlevel and lowlevel wind shear will cause the storms that manage to break the cap to rotate. I'll be leaving early tomorrow morning and will be out chasing through the weekend, it is possible I may have room to take one person along if it can efficiently be arranged to meet up, let me know if your interested...
