I am reviving this post to get a little chatter going. It is getting close to Calamus time again and wanted to see some discussion.
Sorny asked about the August shoot last year. We took second with 131 pounds and got whipped pretty darn good. Leaders were 193 i think. 3rd was something in the neighborhood of 80 pounds if I remember right. We had more fish than the leaders, but our fish averaged 1.5 pounds and thiers averaged 6 pounds. We can say we shot more and harder to hit fish, but by weight, no contest.
Fursniper and I are undecided on the Calamus tourney this year. With the Huntingne.com tourney on the next weekend, we might just wait another week. |
