Atlas May Be Viewed on Mobile Device
LINCOLN, Neb. – Nebraskans now have several ways in which they can view hunting and fishing sites that offer public access. Included in those are Open Fields and Waters sites, where private lands allow public walk-in access.
The printed 2011 Public Access Atlas contains all public and Open Fields and Waters sites. Navigation links at OutdoorNebraska.org, the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission’s website, now offer more ways to view the Atlas.
Visitors can click on Hunting, then Where to Hunt, to view the online Atlas or download an application to view the Atlas on a mobile device. The navigation page also has links that allow state-owned lands and Open Fields and Waters access sites only to be viewed in Google Earth. Those sites soon will be available on GPS units.
